OUR HISTORY
In August of 2000 a group of believers from two sister churches, Cornerstone Community Church in Overland Park and Lee’s Summit Community Church, launched New Life Community Church in Belton, MO; an autonomous non-denominational church. Our roots are in a movement of churches that began in the 70s that focused on personal evangelism and church planting, Great Commission Churches.

In 2013 God led a team with many of the young adults to plant the “The Rising Church” in the KC Midtown – UMKC area. As of 2023 they have doubled in size and are doing well in seeing saints grow into maturity.

Now, we at NLCC are a small church family, affording much opportunity for all to participate as God leads. With no salaries and no debt owed on our property we are able to give nearly half of our income to missions.
